Check-in is between 1 pm and check-out is at 10 am. Early check-in and late check-out is subject to availability and may be subject to an additional charge.
Drugs and substance abuse are strictly prohibited on and around the property.
Guests are not allowed to bring visitors inside the hostel premises.
Guests under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a guardian. We do not recommend stays for families with young children.
In the event of an unpaid reservation, kindly contact the property within 24 hours of creating your booking to complete a 100% pre-payment. Failure to do so will result in an irreversible cancellation of your booking from our end.
Self-service is encouraged. Luggage assistance and room services are not provided.
The property has group restrictions, allowing up to 4 adults maximum. If the group's behavior is deemed inappropriate, the Property Manager reserves the right to take necessary action, including on-spot cancellation without refunds.
The property only accepts a government ID as valid proof of identity. Local forms of ID will not be accepted.
The property reserves the right to admission.
Guests must provide a valid form of government regulated identification (eg. passport, ID card, driver’s license, etc.) upon check-in.
Landmarks: Dara Hospital & Tamang Gompa: Zostel Gangtok is just 150 metres from the Gompa.
From Bagdogra Airport: 130 km, 5 hrs, INR 3500 for a private taxi and INR 500-800 for a shared cab. Shared cabs usually drop you close to the Gangtok Head Post Office (Ranka taxi stand), from where you can take another sharing taxi to Zostel Gangtok (landmark: Tamang Gompa) for INR 20-30.
Alternately, you can take a flight to Pakyong airport, 30 km (1.5 hrs) from Zostel Gangtok. You can take a shared (~INR 100-200) or private taxi (~INR 2000) to the hostel.
By Helicopter:If you wish to begin your trip with a never-had-before adventure, you can take the Sikkim Helicopter Service from Bagdogra Airport for INR 3500 per person. You will land 30 to 35 minutes away from Zostel Gangtok, which can be covered by a pvt taxi for ~INR 2000 or a shared taxi for ~INR 200-250.
From the New Jalpaiguri Junction: 120 km, 4 hrs, ~INR 4000 for a pvt taxi and ~INR 400-500 for a shared cab to Zostel Gangtok.
The minimum age required to stay at this property is 18 years.
The property is unable to guarantee that all beds booked for group bookings will be in the same hostel room.
Please note that any changes in tax structure due to government policies will result in revised taxes, which will be applicable to all reservations and will be charged additionally during check out.
