As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows:
【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000
【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000
For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Children 0-5 years old stay for free if using existing bedding.
Children 6 years and over are considered adults.
Children 6 years old will be charged 20% of an adult price with extra bedding provided.

Extra bed is a futon and is subject to availability.
Extra fees as mentioned will be collected at the property.
Effective October 1, 2018, Accommodation Tax will be applicable in Kyoto City as follows. JPY 200 per person per night for booking below JPY 20,000, JPY 500 per person per night for booking between JPY 20,000 to JPY 50,000, JPY 1,000 per person per night for booking above JPY 50,000. This will be payable at the hotel directly.
